Meet Donart Selimi: Senior Designer at Magic Design

Today, we're thrilled to introduce Donart Selimi, a talented Designer who holds a special place for designing landing pages and web projects in his heart.
We asked him about his story & experience working at Magic Design and here’s what he said:

Q1: Can you share a bit about your journey before joining Magic Design?
I started working as a Graphic / Motion Designer when I was 16. Since then, I never stopped working in the industry and slowly transitioned into Web Design and UX/UI, also doing graphic design or social media designs on the side plus working with international companies and clients as a freelancer. 10 years later, now I’m working with amazing people and projects daily.
Q2: What made you choose Magic Design?
The idea of the company and the business model - but also the projects seemed so cool and creative to work on. Turned out that the team is amazing, too!
Q3: How was your experience during the hiring process? Any highlights or something that stood out to you?
Simple and fun – I enjoyed the process! 🤩
Q4: What's a typical day like for you now? What tasks do you find most fun and challenging?
I typically wake up at around 8:30am, go to a coffee shop (different ones, I like it more than working from home). Then I start working on design tasks for the day after the daily check-in. I really love working on landing pages or anything web design related.
Q5: Can you share a memorable project you’ve worked on at Magic Design? What made it special?
Hmm, there are so many! If I had to choose, Ziik's website was really fun to work on, and it turned out amazing! Their site is now live with our design, and you can check it out here. Some other projects include the various landing page designs for Valuecase's and for Nanogiants.
Q6: How has your role at Magic Design helped you grow professionally and personally?
Working on different landing pages and designs for clients from diverse industries, be it also B2B or B2C, has made me so much quicker and has sharpened my design skills a lot. It's been a great way to improve my efficiency and overall design sense.
Q7: Which of our core values (Create “WOW”, Pixel Perfect, Own it, Trust & Reliability, Figure it out, Always Communicate) speaks to you the most, and how do you bring it into your work?
All of them speak to me, I couldn’t choose. Every single one makes sense and I love that we live our values. I strive to implement each one in my daily work, for sure.
Q8: What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining Magic Design?
Do it and join the team now - you will not regret it :)
Q9: When you’re not working, what hobby or passion keeps you busy?
Lately, I’ve been working on some personal projects in Framer. I try to bring some of my ideas to live and publish them. One of them is called AdLibrary – I collect and feature some cool ads from around the internet for easy access.
Designers and Marketers can get inspired from my curated collection and I also learn a lot about new trends or simply great ads, too. It’s a win-win and has been a really fulfilling experience that keeps my creativity flowing.
Q10: And now… last question! if your morning coffee gave you a superpower for the day, what would it be?
